Safety and convenience at all levels

Thanks to its robust metal housing, the climate data logger is protected against hard impacts and will maintain its durability even in harsh environmental conditions. Moreover, it conforms to protection class IP 65 and can therefore be exposed to water jets and dust. This is particularly handy if cleaning is undertaken at the measuring location, because this means that the data logger does not need to be removed. The data logger will not sustain any damage even in dusty or dirty conditions.

Programming and analysis of the climate data logger

Your data logger can be programmed and read off, and the measurement data analyzed on the PC using a software package. We offer three different software versions:

• ComSoft Basic software – available for free download – offers you quick programming of the climate data logger and easy analysis of the measurement data
• ComSoft Professional software – also available – offers you various options for analyzing the measured temperature and humidity values
• ComSoft CFR 21 Part 11 software – also available – is suitable for use in the pharmaceutical industry with its special requirements according to CFR 21 Part 11

The climate data logger can only be programmed using a USB cable, which is not included in the delivery. The values measured can also be transmitted to the PC via the USB cable, or optionally also using an SD card. Both the cable and the card are available to order as optional accessories.

You will need at least one temperature sensor to use your logger. There is a wide selection of thermocouple sensors ranging from type K, T or J sensors to air, surface or probe sensors available.

Technical features and benefits in the field

The logger’s display provides you with a wide range of valuable information including current measurement values, threshold values, points where these thresholds have been exceeded, min/max values as well as the remaining battery power. And because all these values can be read off directly from the display, there is no need for you to boot up your PC. In addition to this nice little detail, the logger also has a super size memory and an exceptionally long battery life of up to 8 years. This gives you the freedom to read out the logger data at longer intervals, even when measuring cycles are shorter.

The  testo 176 T4 data logger is IP 65 protected and can therefore also be used in dusty and dirty work environments. The standard AA batteries can be replaced by the user.

The logger display offers you an overview of the current readings, limit values set and limit value violations, minimum and maximum values and also the remaining battery life. Thus, there is no need to read the data logger separately on your PC in order to quickly check it.

Data security is our top priority: you can rest assured that the measurement data stored in the temperature logger will not be lost. Data is not lost, even when the logger’s battery is spent or while you are changing it.

The temperature logger is suitable for use in the food industry: it is certified to EN 12830 (tested by the ATP test station at TÜV Süd) and is HACCP-compliant. In compliance with protection class IP 65, the data logger is protected against water jets and can remain at the measuring location while cleaning is carried out there.

This is practical when storing and processing food, amongst other things: measure the ambient conditions of your goods in storage areas and cold stores and at the same time check the temperature level of the goods themselves – for example with a penetration probe (optional). Temperature control in the gaps in the packages is also possible. The measurement results from both channels are securely stored in your temperature data logger.

State-of-the-art measuring technology, high level of data security

The temperature probe, which is securely fitted into the data logger, is an NTC sensor with a high level of measuring accuracy (±0.5 °C). The internal temperature probe’s measuring range goes from -35 °C to +55 °C. This means the temperature data logger can also easily be used in cold stores or deep-freeze rooms.

The accuracy and measuring range of the NTC probe, which is an optional attachment, depend on the probe model selected. For example, measurements in higher temperature ranges (up to +120 °C) are also possible with the appropriate temperature probe.

You can read the current measuring values, min./max. values, set limit values, violations of limit values and remaining battery life on the temperature data logger’s clear display. This means you can check the most important data at any time, without having to read out the temperature data logger on the PC. Less frequent read-out of the data logger is also required for shorter measuring cycles. This is due to its large memory for up to 1 million readings and the battery life of up to 3 years. Users can replace the standard batteries (AAA) themselves at any time.

You can rely on a high level of data security when using the testo 175 T2 temperature data logger. Saved measurement data will not be lost even when the battery is empty or being replaced.

You can select the external thermocouple probes from our wide range of probes and order them to go with the data logger. This gives you flexibility and means you can decide yourself exactly what your temperature logger has to be capable of doing. The range we offer includes surface probes, air probes and immersion/penetration probes. The measuring range and accuracy depend on the thermocouple probes selected. In principle, it is possible to measure from -50 °C to +1 000 °C with an appropriate probe.

You can display the current measuring values, min./max. values, set limit values, violations of limit values and remaining battery life on the clear display. This means you have the opportunity to read important values at any time and do not need to resort to a read-out of the temperature logger on the PC straight away every time you want to do a quick data check.

The long battery life of up to 3 years and the large measurement data memory which records up to 1 million readings are particularly convenient for users: because only relatively infrequent reading of the temperature logger is needed, even with shorter measurement intervals. You can use standard batteries (AAA) to run the data logger and you can replace them yourself. Particularly practical when temperatures are to be recorded in a polluted and dust-laden environment: The temperature logger has protection against dust ingress as well as water spray and jets according to protection class IP 65.
